Whether it’s spaghetti with meatballs, burger steak, or even the traditional Filipino sopas, this versatile meatball-burger recipe has never failed us. Tried and tested not just by our family but also with all of my coaching clients.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg lean ground beef
1/2 kg lean ground pork
2 pieces eggs
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
Crumble ground beef in a large mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients. Combine ingredients thoroughly, either with fingers or with a fork.
Using 1/3 measuring cup, scoop meatball mixture and roll into balls (or use palms to flatten if making a burger patty).
Place meatballs on a non-stick skillet then pan-grill until cooked through.
Put the cooked meatballs in a platter. Pour meat crumbs and excess fat in a separate bowl. Skim excess fat and set aside the remaining cooked meat crumbs for additional flavoring to meatball/burger sauce of choice.
